Barahome Shawl
More than just a local product, this batik-printed fabric is a true “cultural heritage.”
Recognized as a Cultural Product of Thailand (CPOT), it is known as the “Woodblock Batik of Pattani.”
Its intricate patterns are inspired by fragments of ancient ceramic tiles and pottery unearthed in the area, creatively reinterpreted through a combination of woodblock printing and hand-drawn batik techniques.
The charm of the Barahome shawl lies in its versatility — it is not merely a local fashion item, but a piece that can be worn in everyday life to add an elegant touch at work, or treasured as a meaningful keepsake, carrying with it the beautiful memories and rich cultural essence from Thailand’s deep South.
